Haviland
Haviland Ceramics was founded in 1842 by David Haviland, an American who moved to Limoges, France, to produce fine porcelain for the U.S. market. Unlike other manufacturers of the time, Haviland insisted on controlling the entire production process, from clay selection to decoration. Haviland porcelain quickly gained recognition from European and American aristocrats for its delicate floral patterns, hand-painted details, and innovative glazing techniques.
